September 28, 2001 - Things that make me happy.

Smile Smile

There are times when this forum is used to complain but not today. No, today I will clean my act up and share some things that make me very happy. If you are a smart reader you could take the initiative to derive the opposites of these things and find those that make me unhappy. If you're here then you probably aren't a smart reader. .

Something that will always make me happy are random, unexpected and incredibly necessary changes in my daily routine. What is life if you cannot be expected to make changes for no reason? Sure, I know many of you are thinking that I'm crazy, but you are a bunch of Republican prudes. What makes change better is when you implement it into a system that seems to be working fine. At work, we have a procedure for resetting passwords and today it was messed up because a whole website layout was rehauled. At first I wasn't sure if this was something that made me happy but I know that I love events like this. Think about it, if we were not forced to look for changes other people make then we would become complacent and would waste our time writing pointless websites, like this one.

Another thing that makes me happy is This Day in Wrestling History (TDIWH) and professional wrestling in general. I love TDIWH because it gives really necessary information AND it comes every day! I know some people have expressed concerns about the desirability of these messages but those people are silly boobs. I mean come on, the creator of this service even included TDIWH in the subject line for filtering purposes. I even showed some of the sour pusses I work with how to setup a filter rule in PINE. Unfortunately, I forgot how to remove the rule and I now have to read it in the DELETED folder. I love TDIWH even more because I can remember the great content from when I got it in my inbox. Every message makes me think of the glorious and well received introduction of the service. Professional wrestling is another thing that makes me happier every year. In my youth, I remember watching the likes of Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan and thinking this is neat and kinda perks me up. Today, things are much better in the world of baby-oiled men and it now makes me happy. The old school wrestling lacked a lil something I like to call WHOOP ASS! Today, wrestlers are constantly flashing the bird, to keep up foreign relations, and telling your mamma exactly what she can do. It is this push towards personal freedom and exercising the rarely used freedom of speech that inspires me to keep living.

The final thing that makes me happy is SprintPCS because they are encouraging the expansion of minds, young and old, everywhere. Recently, when making calls on my cell phone I've found that I can hear people but they cannot undersand me. It is as if all vowels plus, oh we'll say, Ts, Ss, and Ms were removed from my words. Of course, this leads to a broken conversation and sometimes a frustrated person on the bad side of the call. What these pea-brained people don't understand is that evolution is at work in each of the calls. With every halting word and request for words, phrases, sentences and even paragraphs to be repeated their minds are growing stronger and more analytical. It is all about finding the pattern in the chaos. These calls make me happy because the human race is getting smarter because of them.

Not everything is negative in my world and actually Iam a happy person. These are but a fraction of the items I deal that bring a smile to my face. Next week, I might complain but remember that there is a lot of good in the world, propelling us towards a better future, peace out.
